Webwise Internet Safety Activities
Webwise has developed activities and resources to assist and support educators and parents when teaching young people about the safe and responsible uses of the Internet.

The interactive lesson, launched by Minister for Education, Mary Hanafin T.D.on European Safer Internet Day introduces children to the Internet, shows them how to search safely, what to do if they come across anything nasty, and how to know what information they can trust.

This learning module is made up of an interactive online resources, classroom activities, and take-home activities. The activity sheets are designed to facilitate discussion between pupils, their teachers and their parents/guardians about Internet safety.
This module attempts not just to raise awareness of internet safety in the classroom but also to provide children with the tools to ‘teach their parents’ and at the same time expose parents to practical and useful advice on Internet safety. The activity is designed to be interactive and fun. Those parents or guardians who do not have Internet access are not excluded. They are inviting to participate by talking to their children about the issues.
