The date is set for Safer Internet Day 2017; the annual event will be celebrated around the world on Tuesday, 7th February. The aim of Safer Internet Day is to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world.

2017 will be the 14th edition of the event and the call to action for next year is  Be the change: Unite for a better internet”

Safer Internet Day 2016

Safer Internet Day was celebrated on February 9th 2016 in Ireland and all over the world. This year has been the biggest and best one yet!

Across Ireland there were 463 Safer Internet Day events in schools and organisations involving 67,342 children. This year saw a huge range of activities, events and internet safety messages.
