Ambassador Training Day

Over 100 students taking part in the SID Ambassador Programme 2026 gathered for an in-person training day, which took place in Google in Dublin.
This peer-led initiative equips students with the knowledge and skills to run their own online safety campaigns within their schools and local communities. As part of the programme, the Ambassadors attended the in-person training day, where they received guidance and support from the Webwise Youth Advisory Panel.
The ambassadors took part in workshops and panel discussions, heard valuable insights and learnings from previous ambassadors, and brainstormed ideas about how their campaigns can make an impact.
A Special Guest Panel Discussion featured Elaine Burke, Journalist, broadcaster and consultant; Comedian, Rachel Galvo; and Dr. Donal Mulligan, lecturer and researcher at Dublin City University’s School of Communications.
The informative panel discussion explored the opportunities and challenges of Generative AI, and and Q&A with the SID Ambassador students.
Well done to the SID Ambassadors, can’t wait to see your campaigns come to life!
