BIK European Youth Panel 2019

BIK European Youth Panel 2019

Well done to Webwise Youth Panellist Eiman, who spent a week in Brussels participating in and leading online safety activities as part of the BIK European Youth Panel!

She was among 26 young people from across Europe who have been working with each other for the past 2 months, and came together for a meeting in Belgium last week.

The group, who ensure that the youth voice is heard on key internet safety issues, brainstormed their #Youth4Youth Instagram campaign, which is a youth led campaign to combat online violence.

Eiman and her fellow BIK Youth Panellists also led a ‘Flipped Consultation’, which was a youth led session at the Safer Internet Forum.

SIF 2019, which had a theme of “From online violence to digital respect”, saw the young people lead discussions with participants on online harassment and digital respect.
